Trade, everything has his own history

Since the XVI-century and the issue of the first permission to trade by François the 1st, the town of Vouziers has developped and grown.
It all started with the grain and the straw trade, and they also attracted the vessel trade. With the passing of time it created a great diversity of different trades and today Vouziers offers us a wide selection of all kinds of shops and companies with good competitive prices.

Since the first day the market takes place every saturday morning. On this day the greengrocer, manufacturer, butcher, market gardener, vendor and trader are meeting each other there on the Place Carnot.
It's good to stroll the market and listen at the same time to the bells from the carillon at the old city hall, that marks the passing of time.

The annual fair takes place every year from Ascension Day until the following sunday. You can find old handicrafts and industries. During those four days the village vibrates from all its activities, like festivals and expositions. Organized by the UCIA together with the town of Vouziers, the annual fair is a meeting place for everybody.

Food trade

You can find all kinds of food trade in Vouziers.
At the grocery, next to the post office, you can find a broad selection of vegetables and fruit of a high quality. It's open from early in the morning till 21h00, even on sundays. But also a big supermarket like E. Leclerc with a broad selection of all kinds of products for competitive prices, it attracts customers in a surrounding of 50 km around Vouziers.

Building material, home furnishing, renovation and equipment

It's Vouziers second strong point, that offers a complete range of all kinds of shops.
Ambiance et styles is a store (Place Carnot) that offers a wide range of decoration and home furnishing. Everything for indoors, electrical equipment, decoration and a lot more, the choice is yours and the friendly personel is there to help you to choose and to advice.
For building materials and equipments you can go to Tout Faire (nearby the old station), Big Mat (near the bridge) and M. Bricolage (next to the supermarket E. Leclerc)

La Maison de l'Eleveur

National leader in items for cattle-breeding. This dynamic company is situated in Chestres. Plants, flowers everything you need for gardening and a giftshop is there to find.
Equipment, workclothes, garden ornaments attracts all kinds of customers. During the high season they are also open on sundays.
Soplan-Laval in Conde-les-Vouziers is what you call a service company for the agriculture.

From furniture till clothes and shoes, and florist till childcare

Compared to the rest of its kind, Ets Zaia is the leader in the region with its big assortiment of furniture and a complete range of electrical furniture. Without wanting to leave any other specialized stores out, but unfortunately we can't mention them all, it is good to say that there is a very dynamic centre in Vouziers. It fulfils an important role in the social life in town.
The heart of the village needs an active enterprising caracter to fonction well. Vouziers wouldn't be the village that it is without these companies.
Just 1 hour from Reims and Charleville-Mezieres, Vouziers offers a wide and attractive variaty of shops and companies for people close to homebut also further away.
